Some items will be ghosted, don't worry about them.
You MUST make sure that your modem's Com Port and Trumpet's Slip Port are set to the same number, usually 1 through 4.
Make sure the Name server is correct and that Internal PPP is checked.
The MTU should be set to 1400 to start. If transfers are extremely slow or your web browser program seems to freeze up sometimes you might want to try lowering that until you get to 500. If that doesn't help you should set it back to 1400 and look elsewhere for the problem.
Hardware handshake should always be enabled. If you CANNOT use that we suggest you go out and buy a modem which can.
If your modem can track carrier (AT&C1&D2) you can set the DCD check on, otherwise an Online Status Detection of None is just fine.
