"Yes, the Lord will give what is good." (Psalm 85:12)... Keep this in mind, when the going is rough...when you are in the midst of a storm...remember spring is just around the corner...yes the sun will shine again...believe it...don't allow yourself to become self-centered...don't allow yourself to be ruled by your emotions . . . "Now look, God Himself is with us as our head." (II Chronicles 13:12)...don't make yourself the center of your universe. . .put God in His rightful place. . Don' t let self-pity rule you...when you are in the midst of a storm...remember, God's word says, "He calms the storm so that its waves are still." (Psalm 107:29)..How can you wallow in self-pity when God's word tells us, "And the desire of the righteous will be granted." (Proverbs 10:24)...self-pity is a trap...it is a sign of pride... reject it...It shouts...me...me...me...reject it...Lift up Jesus... He is worthy..."Our help is in the name of the Lord." (Psalm 124:8) Look to Him for help...He will help...all the self-pity... self-centeredness, will not deliver you...Jesus Christ can and He will...count on it. Psalm 71:21 says, You shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side." This is what you should direct your thoughts to, to help you out of the doldrums, when they threaten you...resist them with the word...God will bring deliverance.. "Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16) Remember take your eyes off self.. Look to God...go onto victory... Rejoice...and remember, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." (Psalm 30:5)
