I was born in Bowling Green at the Wood County Hospital. At the time my parents didn't
actually live in Bowling Green, they lived in Rossford, Ohio, not too far away. After a
short period of time my parents, along with my brother Craig and I moved to Perrysburg. It
wasn't until I was seven years old that we moved to Bowling Green. Our home in Perrysburg had
burnt down. My Grandmother Lewis lived in Bowling Green. She had been born there and lived
her entire life in the same house on Clough Street. When we first moved to Bowling Green we
lived with her. After a few months we moved to Byall Ave. in Bowling Green and Craig and I
started going to South Main Street Elementary School.
I was going to tell the story of Bowling Green but decided to just give a link to one
of the more interesting websites that I have found. While the website appears to be
incomplete it gives a wonderful view of what Bowling Green was like over a century ago...
