William H Keifer served April to June 1862 in the 2nd Georgia Cavalry a nd received a medical descharge, with full pay and allowances. William r eceived an Honorable Discharge from the Confederate States 2nd Georgia C avalry. His discharge was due to a health condition, "Caries Fis__nae, s eriously limiting locomotion," per the surgeon's report.
William married Sarah Virginia Barnes on June 7, 1861
