The Hudson Post-Gazette, Hudson, Michigan, Tuesday, February 25, 1930: "Death of Andrew VanBuskirk" - Andrew VanBuskirk, 73 years of age, died Saturday night, February 22, at 10 o'clock at the University Hospital, Ann Arbor. The body was brought Sunday evening to the Lowe and Brown fu neral parlor where the funeral will be held this afternoon, Tuesday, at 2 o'clock, Mrs. R.G. Davis, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be made in Maple Grove Cemetery. He is survived by two daug hters: Mrs. Albert Wagerman of west of the city on M-34, with whom he h ad made his home, and Mrs. Harvey Lawrence of Toledo, Ohio; three sons: Ed and Tom of Pittsford township, and Farrell of Bowling Green, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren; two brothers: Charles, of Rose City, Michigan, and William of Bowling Green, Ohio; and two sisters: Mrs. Eliza Stillwe ll of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Ella Wolf of Garrett, Indiana.

The Daily Sentinel-Tribune, Bowling Green, Ohio, Monday, November 17, 1 924 - "Death Relievs Her Suffering" - Mrs. Emma Lutica VanBuskirk, wife of Andrew VanBuskirk, died Saturday, November 15, at the home of her son -in-law, Harvey Lawrence, No. 512 Derby avenue. Her death was due to dr opsy which she had patiently suffered a long time. Funeral services wil l be held Wednesday morning a ten o'clock at the Manville avenue N.B. ch urch, Reverend Stimmell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove. She was born in Antwerp, Ohio, August 3, 1867, and was 57 years, three month s and 12 days old at the time of her death. Her marriage to Mr. VanBusk irk occurred at Antwerp on February 19, 1885, and for nearly forty years they had traveled life's road together. They have resided in Bowling G reen for the past twenty years. She leaves to mourn her death her paren ts Mr. and Mrs. John Hawkins, of Antwerp; her husband; these six childr en: Mrs. Harvey Lawrence of this city; Mrs. Albert Wagerman of Detroit ; Edward and Thomas VanBuskirk, of West Branch, Michigan; William and Henry of Bowling Green; her brothers: Edward Hawkins, of Detroit; Rob ert, Herbert and Bernard Hawkins of Antwerp; her sisters: Mrs. Chris B ortman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Mrs. Fred Klafyfish of Kansas City, Mi ssouri. She also leaves many friends.
