He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. In 1791 he moved to Morristo wn, Vt. taking four weeks to travel from Brookfield with an ox team, acc ompanied by his wife and two small children. In 1706 he was the first To wn Clerk of Morristown, Vt. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
